Special V90 Cross Country developed to help the environment

Volvo is committed to protecting the environment and one way they show it is through the Volvo Ocean Race which supports the fight against ocean plastics.

Audi will produce 3,000 special V90 Cross County Ocean Race Cars with proceeds from their sale going to aid the Volvo Ocean Race Science Program. With each special V90 purchased, Volvo will donate $116 for a total donation of nearly $350,000.

"We're proud to support the Volvo Ocean Race's Science Program which will help improve our understanding of the health of the oceans – our greatest natural resource," said Stuart Templar, Director of Sustainability at Volvo Cars. "As a company, we work to minimize our impact on the world around us, so this project's innovative approach to tackling a major environmental problem was a great fit for us - not least as we head towards an electric future."

The special V90 will feature bright orange and grey matte accents along with a Crystal White paint. The interior carpet will be made from recycled nylon and fishnets taken from the ocean.
